About Me

Creative mind with a Shoshin spirit, forever curious.

Even if "Cloud Architect" is overloaded nowadays, it is probably what defines me best at the moment. I work daily on infrastructure automation, networking, and security solutions.

I have a passion for automating the boring stuff and simplifying the complex things. My daily job involves some plumbing and a lot of tinkering. When I don't craft things, I draw boxes and lines on whiteboards.

My Career Journey

Over two decades, three distinct but transformative and complementary phases marked my career journey, from direct customer engagement and infrastructure expertise to understanding the operations of hyperscale cloud providers and software vendors.

These experiences give me a holistic view of the Information Technology industry's channel, unlocking a deep understanding from both the customer and provider sides.

Customer Side

Run/Manage

2002 - 2008

My early career has been shaped by hands-on experience on production systems, for a Fortune Global 500.

For 7 years, I nurtured my generalist skills through exposure to a wide range of technical domains, and gained a deep understanding of operations for running mission-critical systems.

From the customer side, I learned how to run and manage mission-critical systems where reliability was never optional.

System Integrators

Design/Build

2009 - 2017

With System Integrators (from boutique to global through acquisitions), I specialized and certified in multiple IT domains.

During 9 years, I worked on hundreds of datacenter infrastructure projects, pre-sales and post-sales, architecting or implementing, with clients of all sizes and industries.

Across boutique and global integrators, I learned how to design and build infrastructure solutions tailored to clients of every size and industry.

Moving to software vendors allowed me to shift perspectives, working from the vantage point of technology providers.

I gained insights into how infrastructure for hyperscale cloud is built, the operational dynamics of a software vendor, software engineering, and product management.

From both a startup and tech giants perspectives, I learned how to design and develop solutions for the cloud era.
